SOCIO-LEGAL ANALYSIS
This series of socio-legal reviews summarizes the legal and policy documents related to women’s land tenure in seven countries: Kyrgyzstan, Uganda, The Gambia, Ethiopia, Niger, Bangladesh and Colombia. These synthesis documents are designed for researchers and policymakers seeking to improve women’s land and resource rights in these target countries.
GENDER ANALYSIS
In-depth gender analyses were conducted in all six countries to examine the relationship between local context, gender and land rights; and provide global and context-specific recommendations to inform project implementation, interventions, and policy options. A series of summary briefs as well as full research reports are available. The briefs summarize key learnings, facilitating co-learning processes, knowledge exchange and capacity building, the scaling out of good practices and lessons learned, and the integration of evidence into advocacy and policy processes.
COUNTRY & GLOBAL VIRTUAL LEARNING EXCHANGE
The Country Virtual Learning Exchange Workshop Series served as a platform to share insights and lessons learnt from this initiative, highlighting research from each country project on securing women’s resource rights through gender transformative approaches (GTAs). The aim was to showcase the diversity of the projects’ implementation, fostering cross-learning and highlighting initiatives and lessons from each country’s efforts in securing women’s resource rights through GTAs.
GTA TOOLBOX
This collection of tools includes gender transformative approaches already developed and applied by IFAD projects and partners across targeted countries, as well as a suite of new tools to integrate land rights more explicitly and further the gender transformation agenda. These tools entail different strategies to address inequalities at the individual, household, community, policy and institutional domains, as well as to catalyse and transform harmful and discriminatory norms, perceptions and attitudes, and behaviours and practices at the identified levels across targeted countries.
