Vir Narayan
Vir Narayan is a seasoned researcher and monitoring and evaluation professional, equipped with a background in South Asian Studies and 16 years of comprehensive experience in the development sector. His expertise spans diverse fields within the sector, and he has a proven track record of establishing effective monitoring and evaluation systems for large-scale projects across various disciplines. Vir is adept at conducting action research and impact evaluations, showcasing his proficiency in designing, implementing, and monitoring projects with an excellent command of quantitative and qualitative techniques and different software applications. He has several publications in peer-reviewed and academic journals to his credit. Prior to joining CIFOR-ICRAFD, he worked on USAID-funded projects with Digital Green and Quest Alliance, as well as DfID (now Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) in collaboration with the British Council/The Open University, UK. Vir has planned and implemented innovative monitoring methodologies to track outcomes of behaviour change interventions and inform program adaptations.
