Nehru Prabakaran

An ecologist with a special focus on understanding how species and ecosystems respond to disturbance factors. His research largely focuses on the coastal and marine ecosystems, particularly mangroves and seagrasses. His research has significantly contributed to understanding the mangrove response and recovery after the 2004 tsunami and sea level change caused by coastal uplift and subsidence across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
