Jantor Ndalo

Molecular Laboratory Assistant

Jantor holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and is in advanced stages of her MSc Biotechnology at Kenyatta University, Kenya. She has hands-on experience on the techniques, tools and workings of molecular and genomics, tissue culture and immunology laboratories gained through an internship and laboratory attachments at the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute, Kenya Medical Research Institute and ICRAF, respectively. At ICRAF, she is involved in DNA extraction and sample genetic data analysis, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous reagents wastes, maintaining a safe and clean work space, molecular laboratory sample receipt, processing, logging and proper storage, stalk sample preparation and maintenance, maintenance of reagent, consumables and equipment inventory and assisting interns and students attached to the laboratory on standard operating procedures and safety.
