CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Valentina Robiglio

Valentina Robiglio, PhD, is a senior land use systems scientist at CIFOR-ICRAF. Her expertise focuses on the characterization and trajectories of land use and smallholders farming systems in the tropics of Central Africa and Latin America, and on socio-technical processes of transition towards sustainable production. In recent years, she has studied forest cover dynamics in smallholder contexts and the causal mechanisms driving them. She currently coordinates projects on agroforestry for avoided deforestation and restoration in smallholder farms in the Amazonian regions of Peru. She is based at the CIFOR-ICRAF office in Lima, Peru.
