Sigit’s research interests focus on carbon monitoring, greenhouse gas inventory, restoration assessment and mapping across mangrove and peatland ecosystems. He uses interdisciplinary research approaches, e.g., systematic review, meta-analysis, spatial mapping, and field assessment. His works are relevant to policies and decision-makers, by providing science-based evidence for nature-based climate change solutions through wetlands conservation and restoration. He has more than 12 years of experience working across mangroves and peatlands in the Asia Pacific region.
