Ms. Ying Yao

Ms. Ying Yao is a Ph.D. student at Beijing Normal University in China. She specialises in sustainable development and social-ecological interactions in Asian drylands, focusing on the impacts of ecosystem restoration. Through her research, Ying has examined the resilience and recovery time of ecosystems to droughts and analysed the socio-ecological responses of drylands to various changes across space and time.
