Michael Huettner

Michael Huettner works for GIZ as advisor in the field of international forest and climate policy. He is part of a team advising the German Ministry of Environment on international forest-related climate financed. Previously, he served as portfolio manager for Germany´s International Climate Initiative on REDD+ and natural carbon sinks. Michael has a background in forestry (BSc), environmental systems analysis (MSc) and economics (PhD). He has more than 15 years of experience working in the field of forests, environmental issues and nature conservation.
