Meti Ekayani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Resource and Environmental Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). She has served as deputy head of the IPB Agricultural Economics Masters and Doctoral Study Program (2012-2018) and Deputy head of the IPB Department of Resource and Environmental Economics (2018-2023). Meti graduated with a Bachelor of Forestry majoring in Forest Management at IPB, then worked at a multinational forestry company and then joined a national forestry company group in Jakarta. After that, she became an assistant/lecturer at her alma mater and completed her Magister and Doctoral studies at Georg-August University of Goettingen (GAUG) Germany, majoring in Forestry Policy, Management, and Nature Conservation with a scholarship from the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and DIKTI. In 2012, Meti took a post-doctoral course with an Australian Leadership Award Fellowship (ALAF) scholarship at Monash University, Australia. Currently, she is a member of several professional organizations and scientific communities, including the Indonesian Forestry Scholars Association (PERSAKI), the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), the German Alumni Forestry Network (GAForN), and the South East Asia-German University Alumni (SEAG). Meti has conducted many action research and community service activities in collaboration with various parties, including the mangrove community. This led her to receive seven gold-equivalent awards for various categories of community service activities from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education in 2022. She has written several books and scientific articles published in various reputable international journals, including Forest Policy and Economics (Q1), Sustainability (Q1), Biodiversitas (Q2), Jurnal Manajemen Hutan Tropika (Q2), and several other reputable journals. Meti is active in various studies related to natural resource management, environmental economics, tourism economics, circular economy, food waste management, media discourse, forest and land fire policies, and sustainable development. In addition, he is also active in various scientific forums at home and
