CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Emerging Researchers Day

Held on the Université Laval campus, this event provides a chance for the new generation of agroforestry researchers to gather and get to know each other before the Congress. You are warmly invited to take advantage of this occasion to network with other participants – an opportunity that often constitutes one of the most significant outcomes of the Congress.

A rich program of conferences, panels, and workshops has been scheduled, which seeks to facilitate discussion on the tools and approaches required to bring about more inclusive, open, and collaborative research processes.  Both senior experts and emerging researchers will take part in this transdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange.

This connection between emerging and senior researchers will allow us to reflect on what has been accomplished in agroforestry thus far – and also to explore what might await us as professionals in the future.

We hope that all  participants will garner tangible benefits from this day – through the contacts they make, and the reflections they gather.
