In the North of Cameroon, where livestock, agriculture and protected areas are found on a territory of 65 000 km2, the major challenge for the agricultural sector is to secure access to land while preserving a sustainable and balanced use of natural resources. Innovation systems are mostly managed in the context of agricultural, livestock or conservation projects led by government, national agricultural research organizations, international non-governmental organizations or local non-governmental organizations. But these projects are not sufficiently equipped to solve current and future problems.

Strengthening Innovation Systems in the North of Cameroon (ReSI-NoC) is a 4 year project that aims to strengthen the agro-sylvo-pastoral innovation systems in the project area – specifically through inclusive planning, negotiation, co-creation and implementation of technical, organisational and social innovations.
