Fegi Nurhabni is an expert in climate change adaptation, disaster mitigation, and sustainable marine management. She currently serves as the Deputy Director for Disaster Mitigation and Climate Change Adaptation at Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine and Fisheries, a role she has held since 2019.
With a robust educational background, including dual master’s degrees in Environmental and Infrastructure Planning from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and Regional and City Planning from Bandung Institute of Technology, Fegi combines academic excellence with over two decades of professional experience.
Her contributions to climate diplomacy are notable, having served as a negotiator at multiple UNFCCC COP and SBSTA sessions, including COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and COP28 in Dubai, UAE. She has also authored impactful publications, such as Hot Water Rising: The Impact of Climate Change on Indonesia’s Fisheries and Coastal Communities.
