Daniela Requena Suarez is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the German Research Centre for Geosciences GFZ specialized in the integration of emerging earth observation methods into forest-based climate change mitigation efforts. She holds a PhD in tropical forest monitoring from Wageningen University (the Netherlands), a MSc in biodiversity, conservation and management from Oxford University (UK), and a BSc in forestry from the National Agrarian University of La Molina (Peru). She currently coordinates the Global Forest Observation Initiative’s Research and Development Component, which aims to align forest monitoring research efforts to national landscape monitoring challenges.
