Christine Magaju is a research associate with World Agroforestry (ICRAF). She has over 5 years’ experience working with various stakeholders in East Africa on projects focused on enhancing the resilience of ecosystems and livelihoods. She has supervised and contributed to large-scale data collection to generate evidence on what works where, for whom, using the Options by Context approach. She has co-developed and implemented a participatory trade-off exercise to gather perceptions on the synergies and trade-offs of context-specific sustainable agricultural intensification practices. She contributed to the Biofuels project that assessed the potential for Croton megalocarpus to contribute to livelihoods in Kenya. Christine enjoys facilitating workshops as much as she does engaging with farmers in the field. She is currently finishing her MSc at the University of Nairobi, Kenya on agricultural resource management with a focus on soil and water.
