CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

FORETS- AGRI action aims to intensify and broaden the application of agroecological practices within the framework of landscape approach implemented by CIFOR in the Yangambi Landscapes for several years. Agroecological principles are essential for transforming food systems and form the basis of the actions implemented through this intervention in the Yangambi Landscapes. They are implemented through the structural networks formed in the field by pilot farms, demonstrations fields and above all farm field schools in complete synergy with the FORETS II and FORETS-FOOD actions financed by the EU but also with several other actions financed by CIFOR'S partners in the Landscapes e.g. ENABEL, AFD and the private sector.
