CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

In this project CIFOR-ICRAF helps in assessment of the impact of Low Carbon Agriculture (LCA) practices in the pilot villages (Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh) through repeat end-of-season cross-sectional surveys of representative samples of farming families and creation of a dashboard which will help monitoring various parameters including soil health, socio economic parameters and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in coordination with the implementation partners i.e. Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) and Aga Khan Foundation.

The project supports through the following activities:
• Development of an MRV framework to assess the impact of LCA practices in the pilot villages covering the aspects mentioned in the program objective in consultation with the field partners.
• Creation of the data portal for the programme: Development of a dashboard or an open-source online portal which would host the farm and farmer level data for monitoring and tracking the impact of the LCA practices. The dashboard will be connected to the back-end MIS/database to provide real time information
