CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

In this project, ICRAF employs the conventional wet chemistry and spectral soil analysis on soil collected from the methodological study conducted in Uganda. ICRAF is not responsible for collecting the soil samples. However, ICRAF is responsible for providing the fieldwork training necessary for proper soil collection as well as supervising the collection of fieldwork to ensure protocols are understood.
Following completion of the soil analyses, ICRAF and the World Bank work jointly on a methodological research paper using data collected under this project.
