CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

This project is part of ACIAR Impact Assesment Program. In 2003-04 ACIAR increased its investment in "measuring impact" by putting in place a system of adoption studies.

Two key highlights of this project to be examinded in the adoption study are: a) the establisment of the Jepara Wooden Furniture Association/Asosiasi Pengrajin Kecil (APKJ) in 2018 as a vehicle for furniture producers, to strengthen themselves and become better negotiators with suplliers and buyers; and b) the issuance of district regulation 2 of 2014 on the protection, empowerment and fostering of furniture industry.

Data will be collected in part by conducting meetings with relevant stakeholers consisting of government offices and local parliament, private sector actors and industry associations.
