CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Descriptions

The first phase of the Agriculture, Agrifood Systems and Climate Action IPO project, a six-month inception phase, brought together a consortium of organizations - also referred to as the IPO - to support and execute a diverse portfolio of impact-related work for Mastercard Foundation’s Impact Team.

This collaboration led to the development of a two-year function-oriented implementation plan, designed to support and strengthen the execution of Mastercard Foundation’s Impact Strategy, whilst remaining adaptable to the evolving needs of the Foundation’s Impact and Programme Teams.

The second phase, led by CIFOR-ICRAF in partnership with AKADEMIYA2063; the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP); and African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD). focuses on four impact support areas, co-defined by the Foundation and the IPO. The four areas are a) Program Support, b) Impact Delivery Support, c) Impact Field Building, and d) Specialized Services. The cross-cutting elements of the IPO’s approach include decolonization, furthering youth narratives, Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion (GESI), real-time or developmental evaluation, and upholding the Foundation’s values of co-creation and sharing best practices.
