Découvrez les évènements passés et à venir dans le monde entier et en ligne, qu’ils soient organisés par le CIFOR-ICRAF ou auxquels participent nos chercheurs.

CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

The Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) is supporting the Transformative Partnership Platform on Agroecology to accelerate agroecological food system transformations, contributing to food and nutrition security and economic prosperity, without overshooting planetary boundaries. This project focuses on three main outcomes:
1. Food systems actors collaborate effectively to address critical knowledge and implementation gaps to accelerate agroecological transitions in low- and middle-income countries [TPP core activities].
2. Key policy makers and donors engage with other Agroecology TPP members on agroecological approaches to ensure improved soil health and crop productivity in Africa.
3. Policy makers and civil society organizations in Agroecology Coalition member countries track implementation of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) policy recommendations on agroecology.
The geographical focus of the project is primarily global, with policy dialogues expected to take place in selected African contexts, particularly in LED priority countries, such as Senegal and Tanzania. Direct target groups include decision makers from governmental, non-governmental, donor and research organizations. Indirect beneficiaries include smallholder farmers and other food system actors.
