CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

China recognizes CGIAR's contribution to sustainable food security and poverty reduction trough scientific research and research-related activities in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, policy, and environment, and values CGIAR's effort to build up two parties' partnership. In return, China has been providing annual contributions and scientists to support CGIAR's activities in- and out-side China. In 2007, China's contribution to CGIAR increased from $800,000 to $1,200,000 and the $400.000 increase will serve as restricted funding to encourage CGIAR's research activities in China.
