The partner in this study is implementing a project on the ground and seeks to know the impact of their activities on land restoration interventions for improving the environmental health, livelihood and economic as well as food security and nutrition diversity. In response to this, CIFOR-ICRAF is implementing a comprehensive impact study. The study aims to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of the interventions made in the project area and their impact in changing the degraded landscape to restored and healthy landscape, increases tree cover both on farm and non-farmlands, improve the biodiversity, improve food and nutritional security of the local farming communities. The impact study is conducted mainly through employing biophysical and socioeconomic survey methods including using structured and semi-structured questionnaires for households, Focus Group Discussion specially for those user groups established in different tree and agroforestry-based value chains and also Key informant interview. GIS and remote sensing methods/tools are also applied to know the land and land use cover changes as the result of the interventions. This study is conducted in two selected Regreening Africa sites at local levels
