Découvrez les évènements passés et à venir dans le monde entier et en ligne, qu’ils soient organisés par le CIFOR-ICRAF ou auxquels participent nos chercheurs.

CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

On 1 January 2019, CIFOR-ICRAF have launched Resilient Landscape (RL), an innovative new venture to radically transform land use and agricultural supply chains by serving as the nexus between science and business, finance, governments and civil society across forest and agroforestry landscapes. To enhance science-empowered opportunities, the Government of Luxembourg and ICRAF agreed on a collaboration to find sustainable solutions through catalysing investments in Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) from the private sector and financial institutions that will facilitate result-driven action across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Through this collaboration we build on and expand Resilient Landscape through the Resilient Landscape Initiative (RLI) by establishing a commercially oriented spin-off, the Resilient Landscape Vehicle (RLV), in Luxembourg to serve as an incubator for financing NBS.

A key objective of the RLV is to boost private sector engagement in quality NBS by enhancing decision making and sharing risks with selected investors enabling them to increase long term ambition and impact performance. The RLV connects expert players in the NBS space to stimulate high-quality impact investment, strengthening the position of the Government of Luxembourg as a Global Hub on NBS. Synergies with other players have been tested, demonstrating a high level of interest in the existence of the RLV, as per the approach proposed under the partnership, confirming strong complementarities with the NBS ecosystem.
