CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Descriptions

In this project CIFOR-ICRAF carries out a base study that analyzes the relations between indigenous peoples and the protected natural areas in Peru. With the gained understanding a solid basis for dialogue can be established. Such dialogue is promoted between different actors and organizations in order to advance natural area systems protected that function in an articulated manner to the territorial agendas. Considering that this scenario is not exclusive to the Peruvian Amazon, but also has parallels in countries of the Andean Amazon such as Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia, these spaces of dialogue are enriched by considering a transnational approach.
