Descriptions

Under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between UNEP and CIFOR and in close consultation with UNEP, CIFOR shall showcase and promote the Global Peatlands Initiative (GPI) partnership through peatlands themed interactive sessions and promotional materials including GLF interactive sessions on peatlands as part of the programme jointly.

Under this project, CIFOR carries out following activites:


Support the development of communications and outreach materials (including but not limited to blogs, translated videos, digital events, social media cards etc.) to support the Global Peatland Initiative in promoting events highlighting peatlands.
Support to the development of the knowledge management and coordination of knowledge products and networks linked to Global Peatlands Assessment (e.g. ITPC knowledge management portal).
Support South-South Exchange activities between GPI countries, including preparing MOUs of collaboration for the International Tropical Peatlands Center (ITPC) between Indonesia and DRC and Peru with support from UNEP and GPI, and other activities.
