Description
USAID is interested to learn more about agricultural and forest landscapes in the Central Annamites, in the context of climate change mitigation, adaptation, and biodiversity programming. The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) complements this interest with technical capacity and experience in the deployment of negotiation-support tools for action research in landscape approaches to achieving multi-functionality. ICRAF uses its knowledge to inform decision-makers of multiple options for sustainable natural resources management that help address the new 17 Sustainable Development Goals and related international conventions.
The main purpose of this partnership are (i) to generate on-ground data and information; (ii) conduct holistic situation analyses in the Central Annamites; and (iii) provide management options that simultaneously address livelihood, climate change, and natural resources management objectives.
