ICVCM has identified CIFOR as a subject matter expert in carbon subject and engages CIFOR on consultancy basis to: a) Develop high-level core carbon principles, b)develop an assessment framework to review carbon crediting programs and different types of carbon credits, c)apply the assessment framework to specific carbon crediting programs and types of carbon credits. d)develop an assurance model for the verification or attestation of compliance with core carbon principles and e)oversee the granting of CCP eligibility to specific carbon credit, based on the assessment outcomes.
