Descriptions
The project aims at fostering agroecological transitions through developing stakeholders’ capacities on measuring agroecology and its performance as well as through generating evidence on the contribution of agroecology to holistically achieving societal goals.
The collaborative work leverages the activities of the “Metrics Project”, led by ICRAF and carried out through the Agroecology TPP, and results in evidence generation through the collection and processing of robust and harmonized data on the agroecological levels of transitions and multidimensional performance of agroecology at farm and territorial levels using the Tool for Agroecological Performance Evaluation (TAPE). ICRAF is in charge of implementing TAPE (this includes conducting the survey, processing of data and provision of analysis reports) in Benin, Ethiopia and Kenya. In Madagascar, CIRAD is in charge of implementing TAPE. Capacities of the different partners and other relevant stakeholders at the national and local level, including decision makers, are built on the application of TAPE´s stepwise approach and the use of the Kobo Toolbox.
