Description

With the support of UNEP, CIFOR showcase and promote the Global Peatlands Initiative partnership through peatlands themed interactive sessions and promotional materials including GLF interactive sessions on peatlands as part of the programme jointly organized by UNEP Global Peatlands Initiative. Under this project, CIFOR carries out following activites: (i) Support South-South Exchange activities between GPI countries, including preparing MOUs of collaboration for the International Tropical Peatlands Center (ITPC) between Indonesia and DRC and Peru with support from UNEP and GPI, and other activities. (ii) Host and coordinate the “Global Peatlands Assessment: Mapping, Policy, and Action” session during the “Global Landscape Forum Peatlands 2024: The Climate Solution We Forgot” conference.
