CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Descriptions

Funding from USAID’s Biodiversity Division has provided support to CIFOR-ICRAF since 2012 and has made an enormous contribution in supporting our ability to produce evidence-based quality research which we have used to provide input to local, national, and international policies. This funding has also assisted us in our capacity development activities. USAID Biodiversity funding has enabled us to leverage additional funds from other donors to further enhance our work in biodiversity related activities and has helped to facilitate numerous strategic partnerships. All of these activities together have contributed to significant policy and practice influence related to forest conservation and sustainable use of tropical forests.

This extension of support from USAID continues to deepen and broaden CIOFR-ICRAF work related to sustainable management of wild meat, forests and health, integrated approaches to landscape management for biodiversity and human wellbeing, and forests and food systems. On each of these topics CIOFR-ICRAF carries out rigorous research targeted at influencing policy and practice around these issues.
