CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Descriptions

In June 2020 the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation's (SDC) Operation's Committee approved the release of the call for proposals on "Responsible (VGGT-compliant) land based investment practices". The consortium of Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), World Agroforestry (ICRAF), Land Equity International (LEI), Regional Community Forestry Training Center for Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC) and Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), with CIFOR as lead agency, won the call for proposals with the proposal "Scaling Responsible and Inclusive Business Innovation in Agricultural Land Investment that Supports Rights, Livelihood and Sustainable Food Systems". The project proposal/project document to be developed from February to July 2021 will form the basis for the contribution contract between CIFOR and SDC.
