CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

Description

The Project "Enhancing Social Inclusion and Gender Equality in Results-based Climate Finance with strategic Approach and suggested Actions" aims at preparing a strategic "Social Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan SISAP" to guide the World Bank EnABLE Fund with gender programming and inclusion of marginalized groups. In particular it focuses on promoting inclusion of women and Indigenous Peoples in Result Based Climate Finance (RBCF), in fifteen FCPF REDD+ country programs. The SISAP document will be grounded on the comprehensive understanding of gaps, barriers and challenges to social inclusion linked to the implementation of REDD+ and other incentive based mechanisms, as well as evidence-based lessons and strategies to operationalize social inclusion and gender equality in RBCF."
