CIFOR-ICRAF has worked in Kyrgyzstan since January 2015. Since that time, it has been providing scientific knowledge to governmental bodies, academia and donors.

Our research activities are focused on the field of agroforestry, plantations, fast-growing trees, irrigated agriculture, mountain regions, textile plants, sustainable biomass utilization as well as energy efficiency using renewable raw materials from agroforestry systems.
