Youth in Agribusiness: Seminar by Marion Moon of Wanda Organic

Wanda Organic is a Kenyan for-profit social enterprise that aims to help farmers increase the quantity and quality of their yields and the fertility of their soils through the use of bio-organic fertilizers. Wanda Organic was started by youth, interested in investing in and working in the agricultural sector. The soil is a finite resource but in the last few decades, the issue of soil degradation and infertility has increasingly become a problem for farmers in Kenya and in the wider African continent. Wanda, as a youth entrepreneurship venture, identified the issue at hand and sought to introduce sustainable solutions to mitigate the situation. By bringing farmers, big and small, the very latest in bio-organic soil fertility technologies, Wanda enables them to produce more and better food than ever before, thus increasing profitability and family incomes, while restoring and strengthening the health of Africa"s soil.
