CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Million voices initiative: Citizen science to support agroecological transitions

At an independent side event of the UN Food Systems Summit, on 24 September 2021 the Transformative Partnership Platform on Agroecology (TPP) launched a new Million Voices initiative: citizen science to support agroecological transitions, reaching out to farmers and food consumers around the world to take part in advancing knowledge in support of a global transition to agroecology. Participants discussed existing examples of citizen science in agroecology and reflected on the use of big data in agriculture, addressing the comments from the audience on the priorities for this initiative going forward.
