IFFS/DMPA Farmer: Doubling the production through agroforestry business model in Siak, Riau

In Pinang Sebatang Barat Village of Siak District, Riau Province, CIFOR conducted Participatory Action Research on Community-Level Business Model (PAR CLBM) at the selected Integrated Forestry and Farming System (Desa Makmur Peduli Api). The project’s overall goal is to support a gradual change in the behavior of local communities for not using fire in land preparation and farming. This goal is approached by developing and testing Community-Level Business Model in a participatory way for fire prevention and improved livelihood.
