Proper Artesian Well Construction to Save Water and to Save the Earth | Gerakan Rejoso Kita

Groundwater continues to deplete due to inefficient use of water and improper construction of free-flowing artesian wells. Wells are not sufficiently strengthened with protection casing. Most are not equipped with valves letting water to free flow wasted. Gerakan Rejoso Kita urges the downstream community at Rejoso Watershed of Pasuruan Regency of East Java, to save groundwater by improving their well construction techniques. --- Gerakan Rejoso Kita initiative was started in 2016 in an effort to help protecting and preserving the Rejoso watershed in Pasuruan Region of East Java Province through research, agroforestry, environmental services, sustainable agriculture, water efficiency, and institutional strengthening.
