he Transformative Partnership Blue Carbon Deck is a platform designed to bring together multiple initiatives related to blue carbon issues and a go-to source on blue carbon for government, researchers, civil society, and practitioners. On 20 February 2024, The CIFOR-ICRAF Blue Carbon Deck team in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, IPB University, the Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI), and Indonesian Mangrove Society (IMS) organized an open dialogue.Government at national and sub-national levels, researchers, practitioners, private sectors, and coastal communities gather to discuss not only mangroves but also seagrass as the potential blue carbon ecosystems. The topics covered (i) blue carbon policy and governance, (ii) blue carbon science and project development, (iii) blue carbon institutional and social aspects, and (iv) business and investment opportunities.
