CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Paula Caballero on how a landscape approach could help to shape the SDGs

Paula Caballero, Senior Director of Environment and Natural Resources Global Practice at the World Bank, says the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which are currently under development should be seen through the prism of landscapes. "That means that we don’t just look at the obvious targets that focus on terrestrial ecosystems, or forests, or water or oceans, but that we take those targets that might not be so obvious - like women's participation for example - and put a landscape lens on them."http://blog.cifor.org/25778/paula-caballero-un-sustainable-development-goals-should-be-seen-through-the-prism-of-landscapesLearn more: www.landscapes.orgIf you want to watch more of our interviews, got to : https://www.youtube.com/user/CIFORVideo/playlists?sort=dd&view=50&shelf_id=23
