Viet Nam – a leader in the agroecological transition in Southeast Asia?

In this short interview filmed on the sidelines of the 4th Global Conference of the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food System Programme in Hanoi, Viet Nam, Fergus Sinclair, Chief Scientist at CIFOR-ICRAF and Co-convenor of Agroecology TPP, explains why Viet Nam is in many ways a leading light when it comes to agroecology in the region. Research findings demonstrate how, by applying mixed cropping and other agroecological practices, high productivity and diversity can go hand in hand, resulting in farming practices that are much more in harmony with nature and therefore are not leading to overshooting planetary boundaries.
