Members of community forest and water associations in Mau forest and Mt. Elgon forests in Kenya and Uganda participate in a two-day community exchange visit in Mt. Kenya region. The members are hosted by two WRUAs (Muringato WRUA and Mburua WRUA) and two CFAs (Muringato CFA and Gathuiru CFA) in Mt. Kenya region. They share lessons on CFA and WRUA governance, rehabilitation of forest and riparian areas, capacity building for joint forest and water management, resource mobilization for implementing management plans and income generating activities that support rehabilitation initiatives.
