CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Acuerdos Recíprocos Ambientales Experiencias desde Bolivia y su replicación en América Latina

This presentation by Nigel Asquith was given at a session titled "Improving livelihoods in the Andean Region: Scaling up innovations to integrate agriculture, forestry and other land uses in a changing climate" at the Global Landscapes Forum in Lima, Peru, on December 6, 2014. The discussion focused on how to move forward to tackle adaptation and mitigation of climate change for poverty alleviation at the landscape level. Adaptation to climate change was addressed from the perspective of farmers, and communities, including vulnerable social groups who can generate innovative solutions based on their traditional knowledge. This can be combined with integrated management systems for crops, water, forests and alternative energy sources to help cope with climate change.
