Developing value chains of agriculture products around peatland restoration area

Presented by Dharsono Hartono, CEO of PT. Rimba Makmur Utama (Katingan Mentaya Project). In this session, the speaker shared information on the program performed by Katingan Mentaya Project which goes hand in hand with the community in practicing sustainable agriculture and protection of peatland area. This session also shared the project’s success story in developing the coconut sugar value chain as one of the products developed by following sustainable practices. Speaker also explained how the Katingan Mentaya Project facilitates the community to start their production activity in developing coconut sugar, beginning from the production process all the way to selling finished products to the market.
