AB This report documents in detail the socio-economic conditions of 87 farm households involved in farmer-managed 'researcher-with-farmer' designed agroforestry trials in Western Kenya. The purpose of the study was twofold: (1). to provide detailed baseline data on the socio-economic conditions of trial households; (2). based on a review of secondary data to assess the representatives of trial households with respect to key socio-economic characteristics likely to influence the adoption of agroforestry technologies.
