%X Tropical wetlands such as peat swamp forests (PSFs) have been known globally as one of the carbon (C)-rich ecosystems. However, there is still a lack of understanding of the C cycle in PSFs, especially in association with land use and cover changes (e.g., deforestation, degradation, and restoration). This study presents the C dynamics in terms of changing C stocks, removal, and emissions in restored tropical PSFs in Central Kalimantan. The permanent sampling plots (100 m x 100 m) were established in two restored forest sites and were assessed for their above- and below-ground C-stocks, aboveground primary productivity, total and heterotrophic soil respiration, and ground water level (GWL).
