Recent scientific results on the nature of global food value chains show that the highest proportion of environmental burden occurs during the production stage of the raw material (KASHMANIAN and MOORE, 2014: 14). In today’s global agricultural production, soy is one of the most crucial agricultural commodities in terms of influencing natural ecosystems in Brazil.
