According to current statistics and reports from several institutions like the World Bank (WB), Kenya is a country on the upswing. Growth rates rose to 6 % due to key drivers like a vibrant services sector, enhanced construction, and currency stability. Low inflation, low fuel prices, a growing middle-class, and rising incomes contribute to this as well (ibid.). Furthermore, next to economic growth rates, population statistics reveal a population growth of 2.6 % (WB 2016, n. pag.).
