AU Kyomugisha, A. AU Okwaro, G. AU Russell, A. AB This analysis was conducted in conjunction with the scoping phase of another CIFOR-led project entitled: “Adaptation of people to climate change in East Africa: Forest and tree-based ecosystem services, risk reduction and human well-being.” (AdaptEA). The testing of the Cristal Forest toolkit, has therefore benefitted from the existing stakeholder rapport, and from the vulnerability analysis approaches being developed in AdaptEA. Conversely, the Cristal Forest analysis provides a useful initial overview of vulnerability to climate hazards to be further tested by the AdaptEA team.This document is an output of a CIFOR-led project, entitled: "CRiSTAL-Forests: Development of Community-based Risk Screening Tool - Adaptation and Livelihoods". This project is being implemented in collaboration with Makerere University, and the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI). Primary funding for this project was provided through a grant from UNITAR (G.EGP.2011.03). Complementary funding was received from a CIFOR-led project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation (2011 CRD 306). Additional publications for East Africa are found on the East Africa team leader's staff page, Aaron J.M. Russell. Publications from West Africa and general project information is found on the project manager's page, Houria Djoudi. ";
