At every meeting where non-timber forest products (NTFPs) are discussed, there will be some discussions about the terminology and about what should be included and what should not be included in the definition. This paper analyses the elements of the definition of NTFP. The discussion begins with a brief history of the term NTFP and the evolution of its definition.
