For the past 20 years, researchers at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) have sought to understand the natural processes that keep forests healthy and the ways in which people use and manage their resources. The vignettes in this volume are CIFOR's footsteps in the forest, retracing the journey we have shared with forest dwellers in Latin America for the past two decades.
